WORDS OF THANKS
By: Gie-O T. Peralta
Our most-revered commencement speaker, Atty. Ronilo A. Beronio, our college president who is known for his distinct leadership style, Dr. Roberto P. Tubaña Sr., our dynamic administrative officials, honorable members of the academe, very supportive families and friends, visitors, fellow graduates, good morning!
Today is a special event to note in our personal history because it marks a milestone in our long journey through life. Yes, this is an achievement, this is an accomplishment! But more importantly, this significant occasion opens another door for us to start a new beginning. Now, as we take our first step to begin another chapter in our lives, we look back to the years when we entered the gates of our beloved institution, the Abra State Institute of Science and Technology. We saw a great challenge for us to perform, for us to struggle and for us to survive. We accomplished things we never thought possible, we broke boundaries and with caution, we pushed ourselves to the limit just to prove we can. We had classes we loved, classes we hated, days we wished would never end and days we wished had never begun. We laughed, we cried, we dreamed, we hoped. These cherished experiences have shaped what we are today.
The flag of victory is now in our hands ready to be hoisted. Our race to the finish line is over. Despite the insurmountable challenges in pursuit to academic excellence, we have proven that we are strong enough and we have made it after all!
Therefore, it is imperative that we thank the loving people who contributed much to the attainment of success in all our undertakings. Thank you is not enough, but they say “words aptly spoken are apples of gold in the setting of silver.”
In behalf of the graduates of 2010, I take honor to thank our Alma Mater, the Abra State Institute of Science and Technology, for being the perfect venue for quality education. You embraced us despite our weaknesses. Undoubtedly, you prepared us very well for the future. To the administration and support staff, and to our dear teachers, we are very grateful for the efforts you made. Forever, you are carved in our hearts.
Kadakayo nanang ken tatang, mama ken papa, innang ken ammang, mommy ken daddy, napalaus unay ti inkam panagyaman ti naisangsangayan a panagayat yo kadakam nga annak yo. Ado a ling-et ken sakripisyo ti imbubus yo tapno agbalin kami a nasayaat a tao. Ita, isagot mi kadakayo daytoy a ballaigi kas panagyaman mi. Ay-ayaten da kayo unay, unay!
I also want to take this opportunity to personally thank my parents. This past four years have presented us with a lot of ups and downs and it is good to know that we had our families in the corner, supporting us along the way. I would not be here today without you. I just couldn’t imagine how far I have gone right now without your tender, love and care. Nanang, Tatang, agyamanak unay ti napalaus nga panagayat yo kanyak ta sipud pay idi ubingak di yo imparikna a padagsenak ti pamilya tayo. Ammok amin nga inaramid yo a sakripisyo tapnu makaturpusak laeng ti kolehiyo. Ti kinapudno na, ni nanag ko ket maysa laeng a tagalaba ken ni tatang ko ken maysa laeng a mannalon ngaem inkagumaan da ti agtrabaho tapnu adda laeng mausar ko diay eskwela. Nanang, Tatang I am very proud of you. Jak amo nu kaano ken kasaknu kayo a masubadan, but this recognition I have is just a simple commemorative for your love. Nanang, para kanya yo daytoy.
May I request my fellow graduates to please approach their parents and give them your warmest hug to show how grateful we are for them.
Thank you fellow graduates!
To our friends and foes who became parts of our lives, we say thank you for the worthwhile experiences we shared. The camaraderie that we established will surely last for a lifetime, wherever we will be.
Above all, we thank God for giving us strength and wisdom to survive. All praise and glory are unto you, Oh God. Be always at our side as we proceed to our endeavor in our chosen career.
In closing, as we walk out of this gymnasium as a degree holder graduates, our paths are still unpaved, and our future still undiscovered. We face hardships and let downs, but also a life full of wonderfully unexpected moments and glorious successes. It’s now up to us. We are the beholders of tomorrow, and we determine the future. Good or bad, it’s ours.
Let us embrace the future with open arms. We are armed with the education, the friends and family, and the ambition to materialize our dreams.
Congratulations!
Once again, our sincerest thanks and gratitude to all and farewell!!!

This is MY MOMENT!!!
18th of March, 2010, the final judgment for the graduates, the deliberation day!!! I was very nervous because my grades seem not to be involved in the honorees...I was waiting for the text of my chairman Mr. Vic Ato and every time I remember it, my heart beats faster...
Passed one in the afternoon when I received a text message from my classmate which told me that I am one of the CUM LAUDES...I really could not believe that after all the hardships I have had, i am now graduating, take note, it's not just a graduate, I am proud to say, I am a cum laude, this has been the greatest gift I received from God and I am really grateful for it!!!
thank you to all my classmates who helped me pray for my success, who were always there in times I needed them and for being my inspiration to succeed and to become a stronger individual...without them, I couldn't have I have achieved right now!!!
